First things first – make your template. Using a piece of paper, draw where you want your eyes and nose to be. Cut holes for the eyes and nose. A good way of working out if your template fits is to hold it up to your face and peer through the eye holes!

Now is the time to work out what colour your mask will be! Select a sheet of Craft Foam, which will be the base colour for your mask. Use your paper template as a guide to cut your foam sheet to the right shape.

Be really creative and use the Craft Foam sheets and shapes to decorate your mask. Try making big googly eyes and spiky teeth from the sheets. Stick the shapes down using PVA. Leave the mask to dry.

Make a hole on each side of the mask so you can thread through your elastic or string. The easiest way to do this is with a hole punch, but if you don’t have one then take a ball of Spectrum clay or Plasticine, put the mask on top and pierce the foam with a sharp pencil to make a hole. The pencil will go through to the clay rather than a desk.

All that’s left to do is thread a piece of elastic through the holes of the mask and you’re done! All set to go and scare some ghouls and goblins!
Tip!
Go Wild! Use pieces of wool, ribbon or coloured paper for spooky tendrils of horrific hair.
