Specialist Crafts Soya Wax Shavings for Container Candles

Cleaner burning and with noted environmental benefits, natural soya wax is a great option for those who want to use wax for batik and candlemaking without the underlying smell of paraffin.

Melting point is approx. 50°C. Please note that Soya Candle Wax can only be coloured with liquid dyes and this wax is only suitable for container candles.

How to calculate how much wax to use.

1. Fill your container or mould with water (if it's a mould, cover the hole with your finger) to the required level.

2. Tip the water into a measuring jug, round up to the nearest 10ml.

3. Deduct 20%.

4. That's the number of grams of wax to use.

For example if your container takes 250ml of water, you would use 200g of wax (250ml - 20% = 200g).

This natural soya wax is less pungent than melted paraffin waxes and therefore much more pleasant to use.

Ensure that you apply the soya wax generously so that it penetrates the fabric to resist any dyes.
